Ok OT...
my 2 cents....
look at the stills below
there are 2 different rooms / bedrooms..
1)i think the black and white comforter on the bed has the same underneath white patten as the one where elena is in bed.
conclusion.... the room looks too nice to be a motel, and i dont know any motels that would have frilly lace pillows.... so i think that this is a bedroom in the house of the family friends that Jer is staying with....
i think they could only have 1 bedroom spare and i think elena takes it but damon checks in on her.... (and i think he only took 2 shirts so he may be re-wearing the same dark shirt a few days later... theory being that its at least a 3-4 day round trip by car to Denver)
2) the first 2 pictures are the same scene - this is a motel with 2 beds. the same curtains can be seen in the 3rd pic and you can just about make out a blue and red monstrosity of a comforter on the bed.. that looks more or less just like the one in the hand holding scene (its alot clearer on the bigger picture floating on the internet)... and the white bit on the comforter is completely different from the one in the first pictures.....
so....i think they drag Jeremy back to MF, stay overnight in a 2 bed motel with Jer in the other bed... and Damon cant resist lying on Elenas bed.. again
of course i could be completely wrong
by i think damon lying on the bed when elena is asleep and the hand holding clip are 2 different rooms on 2 different nights....
